The Council of Ministers has approved an intergovernmental agreement between Sofia and Washington regarding the application of the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FACTA) in Bulgaria. The document has been submitted for approval by the country’s Parliament. If it gets the nod of legislators, the agreement will allow US authorities to obtain information about bank accounts of American citizens in Bulgaria.
