Bulgaria and Romania will make joint efforts for two countries’ accession in the Schengen area.
This has been agreed at the meeting between Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for European Policies Coordination and Institutional Affairs Meglena Kuneva and Romanian Minister of Justice Robert Cazanciuc held in the frames of the joint sitting of the Bulgarian and Romanian governments in Craiova, Romania, the press office of the Bulgarian Government announced.
“The voice of the region should be strengthened so as to achieve the common goals within the EU more easily,” Ms Kuneva remarked.
The two officials agreed to focus their efforts on the countries that still had reservations about the accession of Bulgaria and Romania and to lobby for one another.
